slow Internet connections.
no auto roam! (i thought i had it!!)
prayers heard out loud in public.
unhygienic roads.
bugs buzzing around everywhere.
housing areas has this silent "noise" tt is rather disturbing to the ear.. as its so quiet at night.
mats and tones of girls in headscarf left, right, up, down, centre.
seriously, over there, there has no minahs.
the girls there all look like they have HOUSEWIFE written across their foreheads.
which is a good thing.
a car ride and window sightseeing, as i observe, i feel that they are so RELAXED.
no students in sch uniforms.
don't they go to school?
cause i do see teens, but they are all in their outside attire.
like they don't go to school..
maybe they want to be a roadside putu piring & goreng pisang entreprenuer.
or maybe a fake bomoh.
read their news paper and this bomoh had sex with his daughter's friend.
gave her SPIRITUAL HEALING.
like rite.
give me a break.
all i bought was like a bag, facial cleanser, a pimple cream.
don't ask me why i didn't buy any cheap clothing!
every piece of shirt is LONG SLEEVE! i mean its okay if I was living in Iceland.
i just don't like long sleeve tee shirts. i feel like im gg to choke and die under the sun.
their clothing is not my taste.
and also i dont want to come back to Singapore being mistaken for a roadside celedek seller.
i mean the country across the bridge is OKAY but.. nvm.
nothing against them.
just cant adapt to their lifestyle.
now lets move on to the language.
i spoke English.
they gave me a GIGANTIC question mark look.
i REFUSE to converse in bahasa melayu.
so i watched them struggle in english.
they did NOT answer my Q.
they made it all WORSE.
i asked this lady about a Neutrogena facial cleanser.
she said smt abt using it TWICE a WEEK.
RITE.
then she showed me some random cleanser and STRUGGLED HER GUTS OUT to speak in Ingerris.
then it was my turn to give her the HUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-look.
i gave up.
i politely took the xyz cleanser and placed it on some random shelf.
saved her the trouble of sweating.
next, lelaki.
i was being lame and decided to weigh ONE leg of mine at those 10cent weighing machine in those malls.
i turned around and these BUNCH of mats were laughing at me.
it WAS funny at that time so i also just laughed out loud.
then they continued to give me that GERL, GERL COME BE MY FRIEND LOOK so i ran away.
then at the clothing section, i was yawning like an uncivilised citizen of the country with my mouth open big w/o covering my mouth.
then when i was done, i noticed a group of Malay guys staring at me like WHAT-THE-FUCK!
why cannot yawn isit! my mouth or your mouth!
for the first two days of the trip, i was hooked on those sudoku puzzles in the news papers.
when sudoku craze came out, i didn't give a rats ass about it.
now when i tried it, im hooked!
then i bought the book.
on the second last day,in the evening, i completed about 20 sudoku puzzles!
haha.
i didn't dare eat out.
cause i didn't dare watch how they prepared the food.
I was afraid i loose my appetite if i saw them using unwashed plates or saw flies on the fish they used.
My dad ate mee soto on the first day at some mini town where selling fruits are their specialty.
I told him i was afraid i be poisoned to death.
then if i was poisoned, who is gg to tell an-nur when i don't have auto roam!?
the only food i bought out was an oreo cheese cake from Secret Recipe.
LOL.
I buy food from places i SEEN in Singapore.
I'm not spoilt.
I'm a fussy eater.
:D
saw a Indian drunkard dressed in black cycling on a busy road.
you could literally see the bicycle swaying and a car or two almost hit him.
saw two motorcyclist chit chatting while riding.
saw a medical centre that looks like bras basah complex.
saw a oil palm tanker tyres burst into pieces on the highway!
it sounded like a gunshot! lol.
jusco and that new mall is so disbelieving.
i think ang mo kio polyclinic has much more interesting things to see than there.
no wonder causeway point is always packed.
the car rides to and fro and around the town was funny as usual.
with my dad criticizing and making fun of things/people we saw.
overall the trip to the truly Asia country was averagely okay.
im sorry if u feel rather offended or pissed off at how i typed abt them.
lol.
i cant help it!
lastly a quote by my dad.
"why the food bite sizes so small? who you cooking for? dolls?"
my relationship with bf has passed the 1 1/2 year mark!
too bad we could not celebrate it as both of us were overseas.
i took an hour to type this!
HAHA.
